Ed's Sk8toronto Website Niagara Circle Tour OVERVIEW -The information that follows was sent to me by Jay Brown. I have not tried this route but it is close enough to Toronto that it should be at least mentioned.Hi Ed. Joel Stitt, Ed Leung & I skated the Niagara Circle Tour – 144 kilometers of skating yesterday. We started in Port Weller, took the Waterfront Trail to NOTL, Niagara Parkway to the Falls and on to Fort Erie, then onto the Friendship Trail over to Port Colborne, and finally the Welland Canal trail back to Port Weller. Waterfront Trail - Port Weller to NOTL JJ Road skate, much of it without a bike lane; stay right on the metal bridge over the Welland Canal Niagara Parkway to the Falls and on to Fort Erie JJJ with JJJJJ scenery Friendship Trail JJJ (JJJJJ pavement, but deep sand across the trail in Fort Erie , and numerous sideroads where cars have the right of way) Welland Canal Trail JJJ Good pavement, but lots of gravel and obstacles I would definitely recommend doing it in this direction; it’s best to do the road skate early before it gets busy. It’s also easier and safer to climb the escarpment on the Niagara Parkway , and to descend on the road beside the trail in Thorold . Jay
